Inclusive building management
There are many factors contributing to accessibility, the most obvious being the building shell. However, no matter how inclusively a building is designed, if it is not managed effectively it will soon start to become inaccessible. How a building is managed in its day-to-day running will have a huge impact on how easy the building is to use by disabled people and an important factor for organisations seeking to meet their duties under the DDA.
CAE can provide guidance on the different elements of inclusive building management including policy, building management practices, maintenance procedure and staff training.
