Access audits

Access audits are inspections of buildings or environments to appraise their accessibility, judged against predetermined standards.

Full audit- includes a report, which outlines the current situation and makes recommendations for improvement where necessary.

Walk and talk audit - consists of a discussion between the client and/or staff and the auditor, on site at the client's premises. It provides the opportunity to identify key access problems and explore possible solutions. Notes summarising the 'walk and talk' discussion are provided after the visit. 'Walk and talk' audits are suitable for small businesses and other organisations with limited budgets.
